Issues arising - drainage problems on A629 - site visit arranged with highways engineer. action to be taken = link up drains to ensure road does not flood and roadside properties are not affected by build up of surface water
Parish Council Meeting 6/11/08
In light of Keighley and Districts decision not to accept NYCC’s offer of money to reinsate bus service through Kildwick and Farnhill, the fall-back option is to proceed with the moving of the bus stop on A629(Keighley side). This will bring the stop closer to the villages and make it safer to access the bus and footpaths. Whilst not a perfect solution(there is still the matter of other side of road), it will suffice for the time being - it has been some effort to get to this stage. I have been badgering County Highways Officers, Department Directors and senior Councillors to get this stop moved. I hope to see it moved to a safer location in the next few weeks.
