About Mark
Mark Wheeler is married to Nicola and they have 3 children – Lauren, Claire and Christopher. He is the manager of a local retail firm and lives in Crosshills.
Mark Wheeler has represented the Aire Valley with Lothersdale Ward on Craven District Council since 2002 and was elected to represent this area on North Yorkshire County Council in 2005. He is the current Vice-Chairman of the N.Y.C.C. Craven Area Committee, a member of Corporate Affairs Scrutiny Committee and Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group at County Hall.
Mark Wheeler is a member of the Policy, Audit and Planning Committees at Craven. He has held the post of Portfollio Holder for “Transforming the Council.”
Mark Wheeler has also served, over the past 6 years, on the Parishes Liaison Committee,and was chairman of Corporate Overview and Scrutiny and the Craven Flooding Panel.
Mark Wheeler is a Governor at Glusburn Community Primary School and Craven College.
